Zhu Guangqian (1897-1986) was born in Tongcheng, Anhui. Famous Chinese esthetician and literary theorist. Since 1925, he has studied in Britain, France and other countries, and obtained a doctorate. During his lifetime, he was a professor of the Department of Spanish at Peking University and the honorary president of the All-China Aesthetics Society.
