Introduction to the author's works
Pu Songling: an outstanding writer in the Qing Dynasty. He was also named Liuxian, also known as Jianchen, also known as Liuquan Jushi, and was known as Mr. Liaozhai in the world. A native of Zichuan, Shandong. He was famous for his writing skills when he was young, but he failed in the imperial examinations many times and became a Gongsheng student at the age of 71. Basically, he worked as a private school teacher in his hometown all his life. His family was poor and he was exposed to the lives of ordinary people. He spent decades writing a collection of short stories "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio", which he continued to revise and add. He is also the author of "Collected Works from a Chinese Studio", "Collected Poems from a Chinese Studio", "Songs from a Chinese Chinese Studio", etc.

The main contents include: exposing the political darkness at that time, sympathizing with the suffering of the oppressed people, and praising the resistance of the oppressed; deeply exposing the unfairness of feudal society, especially the imperial examination system; and unreasonableness of the feudal ethics and marriage system. , criticize it, and praise young people's pursuit of ideals, love and rebellious spirit. Stories often give people a happy ending, which makes people happy. But there are also some theories of karma and superstition in the book.

Text analysis
This paragraph can be divided into two levels: the first level (there is a king living in the city... traveling with the book), it is written that a scholar surnamed Wang was in love with Taoism at a young age. The origin of the story is introduced. Because this scholar is a descendant of a family of officials, he spends his days dreaming about becoming a god and becoming a Taoist, so as soon as he heard that there is a Tao in Mount Laoshan, he immediately went to travel. This layer implies the corruption of the officialdom at that time, the superstitious thinking of the people, and also illustrates the decadent and depressed mentality of some people in the society at that time.
On the second level (climbing to the top...and then staying for observation), the process of the scholar named Wang from meeting his teacher to becoming a disciple, and finally being detained for observation is written. This layer describes the Taoist priests' otherworldly life and Wang Sheng's urgent determination to stay in the temple through simple description of the scenery, the description of the characters' expressions, and the description of language dialogue.
This layer mainly writes that Wang Sheng was originally a weak scholar who could only stretch out his hands when he was wearing clothes and open his mouth when he was eating. How could he endure such inhuman suffering? Then I thought of going home. This paved the way for the reason why Wang Sheng really wanted to become an immortal and a Taoist at the end of this article. (His intention to become an immortal is not right.)
This paragraph can be divided into three levels: The first level is the first sentence: "Returning one night, I saw the two of them drinking with the master." This level is the summary. In the evening, a guest came to drink with the master.
The second level (the sun is already dusk...like a shadow in a mirror), this level focuses on the immortal skills of the master and the guests, as well as the scenes of everyone enjoying themselves. On the other hand, we also see the social state at that time, the negativity and decadence of people, and the mentality that they rarely care about social reality.
The third level (when the time passes...returning to thoughts and then resting), writes about the situation of guests leaving and everyone having a drink and going back to rest. Because Wang Sheng saw the master's immortality, he gave up the idea of going home.
