In the 23rd year of the Kaiyuan reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Du Fu traveled to Wu and returned to Luoyang at the age of 24. He was not admitted as a Jinshi. The following year, he traveled to Qi and Zhao. At that time, his father Du Xian was appointed Sima of Yanzhou. In the 28th year of Kaiyuan, Du Fu went to Yanzhou to visit relatives and wrote "Wang Yue" when he climbed Mount Tai. This poem is called the "swan song" of chanting Mount Tai. It is engraved on a tablet and erected at the foot of the mountain.

First couplet: How about Dai Zongfu? Qilu is still young.

Translation: What is Mount Tai like? On the land of Qilu, the green mountains have no end.

Chin couplet: The clock of creation is beautiful, Yin and Yang are divided into dusk and dawn.

Translation: Nature has gathered all the magical and beautiful scenery in Mount Tai. The sky in the south and north of the mountain is divided into two parts: light and dark.
