Lin Haiyin (1918.3.18-2001.12.1), formerly known as Lin Hanying, nicknamed Yingzi, was originally from Miaoli County, Taiwan Province. After graduation, she worked as a reporter for World Journal and soon married Xia Chengying, a colleague at the newspaper. In August 1948, she returned to her hometown of Taiwan with her husband and their three children, and served as editor of Mandarin Daily.
