(1) Meaning

1. "Be going to + verb base form" mainly means intending, planning, and deciding to do something.

2. "Be going to + verb base form" can also mean judging that something is going to happen based on certain signs.

(2) Sentence structure

In the structure "be going to + verb base form", be has changes in person and number.

1. Affirmative sentence pattern: subject + be going to + original form of verb + others. like:

It is going to rain tomorrow. It will rain tomorrow.

2. Negative sentence pattern: subject + be + not + going to + verb base form + others. like:

I am not going to watch TV this evening.

I'm not going to watch TV tonight.

3. General question sentence pattern: Be + subject + going to + verb base form + others? like:

4． Special interrogative sentence pattern: interrogative word + be + subject + going to + verb base form + others?

1. In the structure "There+be going to+be+subject+other.", the be close to there changes with the subject, while the following be is the original form of the verb and does not change.

2. Verbs expressing position movement such as come, go, leave, start, arrive, fly, etc. are often used in the progressive tense to express actions that are about to occur, and are rarely used with be going to. like:
