"Historical Records" is a famous historical work written by Sima Qian, a historian in the Western Han Dynasty of China. It ranks first among the "Twenty-Four Histories" and records three thousand years from the legendary Yellow Emperor to the first year of Yuanshou (122 BC) of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. The "Historical Records" is the first biographical general history in Chinese history and one of the most famous classics in ancient times.
