PPT on common knowledge about ancient Chinese culture, part 2: ancient astronomy
Europeans imagined the bright starry sky as twelve wonderful constellations, while the Chinese with their extraordinary wisdom not only divided the stars in the sky into four major categories ("Four Symbols"), but also connected them with the vast territory, creating a unique The noun - "division".
(1) Five latitudes and seven political affairs
The ancients called the five actually observed planets, metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, the five latitudes. "Historical Records·Tianguan Shu": "There are five stars in the sky and five elements in the earth."
The ancients combined the sun, moon, and the five stars of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth to call it Qizheng or Qiyao.
There were seven days in ancient China, and the corresponding ones in the West are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...Saturday.
(2) Twenty-eight Constellations and Four Symbols
In ancient times, constellations were called stars. A constellation is not one star, but a collection of several nearby stars.
The ancients believed that people with fame in the world were born from the stars in the sky. This was a superstitious statement. "Fan Jin passed the exam": "Now that I have become a master, I am like the stars in the sky." "The stars in the sky cannot be beaten."
The Twenty-Eight Constellations are the twenty-eight star regions divided by the ancients for observing the movements of the sun, moon, and five stars. They are used to illustrate the positions of the sun, moon, and five stars. Each nakshatra contains several stars. The ancients also imagined the seven constellations in each direction of the northeast, southwest and four directions as four animal images, called the four images.
The names of the twenty-eight constellations, according to the northeast and southwest are:
The Eastern Canglong has seven constellations, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, its horns are high, and its horns are high;
In the seven places of Xuanwu in the north, the bullfighting girl threatens the wall of the room;
The White Tiger in the West has seven constellations, Kui Lou Wei Pleiades mǎo Bi Gou zuǐ Shen shēn;
The red bird in the south has seven nights, the ghost in the well, the willow star, and Zhang Yizhen.

The names, characters, and numbers of ancient people
The ancients had names, characters, and titles, and when high officials died, they had posthumous titles.
For example, Ouyang Xiu, whose courtesy name was Yongshu, whose name was Liuyi Jushi, and whose posthumous title was Wenzhong.
(1) Name and character
It is said that in ancient times, babies were named by their father three months after they were born. When a man turns 20 and has a crown ceremony, a woman takes the title when she gets married and when she gets married, she takes a hairpin ceremony.
There is a general meaningful connection between names and characters. Sometimes we cannot see this connection, mainly because of semantic changes. Roughly speaking, the relationship between names and characters can be divided into the following categories:
(1) Synonymous training. Names and characters have the same meaning and can explain each other.
(2) Complementary and related. The meanings of names and characters are interrelated and connected.
(3) Antonym and relative. The meanings of names and characters are opposite, and they correspond to each other.
This is to hope that people will not go beyond or fall short of, and to use checks and balances.
(4) Make use of allusions. Some names and characters are quoted from classics and historical records and use allusions.
