Background information

In order to destroy the alliance between Chu and Qi, Qin sent an envoy Zhang Yi to lobby the king of Chu, pretending that Qin would trade with Chu in a land of 600 miles, on the condition that Chu and Qi break off diplomatic relations. Qu Yuan, the left disciple, saw through the tiger and wolf heart of the Qin State. From the perspective of safeguarding the independence of the Chu State and the interests of the people of the Six Kingdoms of Guandong, he urged the King of Chu to insist on uniting Qi to resist Qin.
