Description
"No News from Auschwitz" PPT
Part One: Introduction to Auschwitz Concentration Camp
On April 27, 1940, the German fascist leader Himmler ordered the construction of the largest inhumane killing factory-Auschwitz concentration camp.
The concentration camp was expanded in 1941. At the end of World War II, the entire concentration camp covered an area of 40 square kilometers.
In addition to the three main concentration camps of Stamlage, Brzezinka and Monowice, there were 45 sub-camps. Gas chambers and other methods were used to kill and torture prisoners in the camp. An average of 10,000 corpses were cremated in the five crematoriums every day.
Four million people of 28 ethnic groups, including Chinese, died in concentration camps, of which Jews accounted for the largest number, accounting for 2.5 million.
It was opened as a national museum in 1947. It was included in the United Nations World Cultural Heritage List in 1979.
