Zhao Mengfu is a well-known historical figure, a descendant of the royal family of the Song Dynasty, and a senior official of the Yuan Dynasty. He can be said to be a legendary figure. The political world is all-powerful, and the calligraphy world is also the top one. There are countless high-quality calligraphy stickers left today, which have injected new blood into the development of calligraphy art. His posts are still timeless and hard to find. For the current development of calligraphy art or the cultivation of personal calligraphy art, Zhao Ti calligraphy is still a good choice. In this regard, we once again took out Zhao Mengfu's running script to explain the matter.
What we want to introduce to you today is Zhao Mengfu’s famous Dharma post "Longevity Song" series. Zhao Mengfu's "Longevity Song", regular script, paper; length 27.5 cm, width 144 cm; composed in 1314; collected in the Palace Museum, Beijing. This piece of running script "Longevity Song", with 45 lines in total, was written in the third year of Emperor Qing's reign (1314), when Zhao Mengfu was sixty-one years old. During the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Yuan Dynasty, the emperor and the queen had a long life, and the prime minister went into the wine to express his congratulations during the dance. The writing in the volume is meticulous, the structure is strict and precise, the calligraphy is straight and strong, the brushwork is exquisite and full of changes, and it is a masterpiece of Zhao Shu's transition from the style of his middle and late years to the style of his very late years. The inscription is "Chen Mengfu". The bottom seal of the inscription reads "Chen Mengfu" with a white seal. It is the only existing work signed by Zhao Mengfu with the word "Chen". Recorded in "The First Edition of Shiqu Baoji". Zhao Mengfu's "Longevity Song" is written in regular script and has exquisite brushwork, so it is called "Zhao style". It was once collected by Qianlong Insider.
Original text of "Longevity Song":
On the first day of the second year of Huangqing's reign, Yuefu Wannianhuan should be made, and it should be in Zhonglu Palace. The door is opened for the first time. The dawn is turning bright and spring is coming back in the sky. The jiangboji people report to the Times, and frequent reminders are forbidden. Nine pieces of music are played by the emperor of Juntian. The emperor is fragrant and surrounded by thousands of officials. The singing sheath is quiet, and Songyue's three shouts of long live are as loud as thunder. Come from all over the world. Mantong Ting's tribute treasures are nothing short of royal. The sun circles the dragon's face, and the clouds approach Jiangque Penglai. The whole world rejoiced, and the saints and virtues passed through the three generations of Tang and Yu. Every year at the banquet, Queen Mother Yaochi, Zixia grows into Qiongbei.
