1. Exam paper page settings

Standardized test papers are usually printed on 8K paper, in landscape orientation, and in two columns. Therefore, you must first set the page format:

1. Open Word, click the "File" → "Page Setup" option in the menu bar, and click the "Paper" tab in the "Page Setup" dialog box that opens. Select "Custom size" in the drop-down list box in the "Paper size" area, and enter the specific paper size in the "Width" and "Height" text input boxes: width is 36.8 cm and height is 26 cm.

2. Click the "Margins" tab in the "Page Setup" dialog box, and enter the following specific values ​​in the corresponding text input boxes in the "Margins" area: 2.5 cm for top, 2 cm for bottom, left 4 cm for the right and 2 cm for the right; select Landscape in the Orientation area. 2. Sealing line and its content production

1. Click the "View" → "Header and Footer" option in the Word menu bar to enter the "Header and Footer" editing state.

2. Click the "Insert" → "Text Box" → "Vertical" option in the Word menu bar, and then drag the mouse to the appropriate position in the document to insert a vertical text box.

(Note: The text box inserted in the "Header and Footer" editing state will automatically appear at the same position on each page of the document.)

3. In the inserted vertical text box, enter the relevant text in the seal line.

4. Confirm that the cursor is in the inserted vertical text box, then click "Format" → "Text Direction" option in the Word menu bar, and select the first text arrangement in the "Direction" area of ​​the "Text Direction" dialog box style and click OK to return.

5. Select the inserted vertical text box, drag it to the outside of the left margin of the test paper, and adjust the size and position of the text box and the size and position of the entered text according to the page size.

6. 7. Click the "Close" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar to return to the document editing state.

3. Setting of test paper page numbers

The standardized test paper is printed in two columns, and the current page number and total page number should be displayed under each column. However, if you directly use the "Insert" → "Page Number" option in the Word menu bar, the number of page numbers in each column cannot be displayed correctly. You must combine the "field" code to correctly insert the page number that meets the requirements.

1. Click the "View" → "Header and Footer" option in the Word menu bar to enter the "Header and Footer" editing state.

2. Click the "Switch Between Header and Footer" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar to switch to the "Footer" editing state.

3. Enter the following content in the appropriate position at the footer of the left column of the test paper:

(1) Enter the text "number";

(2) Press the "Ctrl+F9" key combination to insert a field mark (a pair of curly brackets will be automatically inserted);

(3) Enter "=" in the field mark (braces);

(4) Click the "Insert Page Number" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar;

(5) Enter “*2-1” after the automatically inserted page number;

(6) Enter the text "Total Pages" on the right side of the field mark (braces);

(7) Press the "Ctrl+F9" key combination again to insert the second domain mark;

(8) Enter "=" in the domain tag;

(9) Click the "Insert Page Number" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar;

(10) Enter “*2” after the automatically inserted page number;

(11) Enter the text "page" on the right side of the field mark.

4. Enter the following content in the appropriate position at the footer of the right column of the test paper:

(1) Enter the text "number";

(2) Press the "Ctrl+F9" key combination to insert a domain tag, and enter "=" in the domain tag;

(3) Click the "Insert Page Number" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar; enter "*2" after the automatically inserted page number;

(4) Enter the text "page total" on the right side of the field mark;

(5) Press the "Ctrl+F9" key combination again to insert the second domain tag; enter "=" in the domain tag;

(6) Click the "Insert Page Number" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar; enter "*2" after the automatically inserted page number;

(7) Enter the text "page" on the right side of the field mark.

5. Select all the field codes entered in the above two steps, right-click the mouse, and select the "Switch Field Code" option in the pop-up menu. Word will display the correct number of pages and the total number of pages.

6. Adjust the position of the inserted page number by inserting a space so that it is directly below the column to which it belongs.

7. Click the "Close" button on the "Header and Footer" toolbar to return to the document editing state.

4. Production of test paper header

On the first page of a standardized test paper, there are generally items such as the name of the test paper, notes, and scoring columns. As shown in Figure 7. Enter these contents separately and set the font, font size and other formats.

5. Storage and use of test paper template files

After the standardized test paper template document is created, it should be saved as a Word template file for future use.

1. Click the "Save" option in the "File" menu bar, and the "Save As" dialog box will open.

2. Enter an appropriate file name (such as "Exam Paper") in the "File Name" text input box of the "Save As" dialog box.

3. Select the save type as "Document Template" in the "Save as type" drop-down list box in the "Save As" dialog box.

4. Click the "Save" button to complete saving the document.

When you need to make a test paper, you can follow the following steps:

1. Click the "New" option in the "File" menu bar.

2. Select the "Template on this machine" option in the "New Document" task pane that opens, and the "Template" dialog box will open.

3. In the "Common" tab of the "Template" dialog box, you can find the test paper template file that has been saved on the local computer. Select the template file and click the "OK" button to create a new blank test paper.

The test paper template file is saved by default in the "Application Data Microsoft Templates" folder in the folder of the logged in user in the "C:Documents and Set-tings" directory. You can copy the test paper template file to other computers for use.

6. Printing of test papers

Standardized test papers are generally printed on 8K paper, and commonly used printers can only print A4 format paper. How to resolve this contradiction? You can follow these steps:

1. Click the "File" → "Print" option in the Word menu bar, and the "Print" dialog box will open.

2. Select the "16K" option from the "Scale to paper size" drop-down list box in the "Scale" area in the lower right corner of the "Print" dialog box. After the settings are completed, click the "OK" button to print.

3. Print according to the above settings, which is equivalent to reducing an 8K test paper by half and printing it on 16K paper. Then you can print in batches through a copier or all-in-one machine, and set the original to 100% enlargement before printing.
