Skillful painting to build peace together
In this season of hardy golden chrysanthemums and fragrant red maples, on October 12, Xiadongying Primary School in Qiaoxi District ushered in the "Peace Poster" award event and the launching ceremony of the "Peace through Service" theme in the Zhangjiakou exhibition area of the China Lions Federation.
The conference kicked off with a video of peace posters scrolling on a large screen. First, the principal of Xiadongying Primary School in Qiaoxi District delivered an opening speech for the conference, taking the Winter Olympics as an opportunity to encourage children to actively participate in painting creation activities. Then Chairman He Li, the former chairman of the Peace Poster Committee, opened the 2020-2021 National Children’s Peace Poster Painting Collection Campaign, and also gave a detailed introduction to the “Chinese Lions Federation” and “Peace Posters”. It is hoped that the peace posters will provide children in Zhangjiakou with a rare opportunity to participate in an international public welfare painting competition to establish public welfare ideas, expand innovative thinking, cultivate global concepts, and allow children to use the pen in their hands to depict their yearning for peace.
The collection of peace poster paintings aims to better cultivate children across the country to love world peace and love the concept of harmonious life in the global village, and to show children's desire and vision for world peace.

At the grand award ceremony, the China Lions Federation awarded exquisite prizes and certificates to the winning students and teachers. After the meeting, the participating leaders, guests, teachers and students visited with great interest the award-winning works of the "Peace Poster" over the years.
In order to sow the seeds of peace in the hearts of children and children and guide them to express their Olympic dreams and good wishes, the China Lions Federation has organized a collection of peace posters and has put a lot of effort into this. Xiadongying Primary School will actively cooperate with The Lions Federation joins hands to create more display platforms for children, encourage teachers and students to carry forward the Olympic spirit, convey the dream of peace, and express their good wishes through paintings.
