Returns the hyperbolic tangent of a number.
Syntax
TANH(number)
Number is any real number.
In mathematics, hyperbolic functions are functions similar to trigonometric functions that appear in the solutions of some important linear differential equations.
For example, define the catenary and Laplace's equation. Use the TANH function in the WPS table to quickly calculate the hyperbolic tangent of a number.
Next, I will show you the specific steps of using this function in this table.
■Select cell B2, click Insert function, find and select the TANH function in the search box, and click OK;
■A dialog box will pop up with one parameter:
The value is the value to calculate the hyperbolic tangent value. You can fill in any real number. If the specified parameter is not a real number, the error value #VALUE! will be returned;
Fill in A2, click OK, and you will get the hyperbolic tangent value of 3.14;
■ Position the cursor at the lower right corner of cell B2 and pull down to fill the cell when it is in the shape of + to perform batch calculations.
