Returns the matrix product of two arrays. The resulting matrix has the same number of rows as array1, and the matrix has the same number of columns as array2.
Syntax
MMULT (array1, array2)
array1, array2 are two arrays to be used for matrix multiplication.
Description
￭ array1 and array2 can be cell ranges, references, or array constants.
￭ The number of columns in array1 must be the same as the number of rows in array2, and both arrays can only contain numerical values.
￭For formulas that return an array, they must be entered in the form of an array formula.
￭ MMULT returns the error value #VALUE! in the following situations:
1. Any cell is empty or contains text.
2. The number of columns in array1 is not equal to the number of rows in array2.
3. The capacity of the result array is equal to or greater than a total of 5,461 cells.
