Pivot table is an important function of WPS table, especially when a large amount of data is analyzed and summarized.
The advantages are particularly prominent. But when the data source needs to be analyzed in many dimensions, charts can display the data more clearly and intuitively.
Today I would like to share with you another powerful WPS table function - pivot chart, Pivot charts have the following two advantages:
1. The chart can be automatically updated as the selected filter field value changes.
2. The pivot table data source is automatically updated, and there is no need to reselect the data area.
The following uses this sales performance table as the data source to demonstrate the operation.
￭First select the data, click the menu bar "Insert" - "Pivot Chart", and click "OK".
￭Generate a new subsheet on the right in the "PivotChart Pane".
Drag the region and manager to the filter, and drag the sales volume for quarters 1-4 into the "value field".
Double-click the content in the "Value Field" and modify the "Custom Name".
Now you can roughly see the shape of the chart.
￭Next we need to make the chart "move".
Click "Analysis" - "Insert Slicer" and check "Region" and "Manager".
Two slices appear next to the pivot chart.
Click "Region" and "Manager" on the slicer, and the chart will display the corresponding data.
￭Add a title to the chart, click "Add Element" - "Chart Title" - "Centered Overlay".
Change the title name.
￭Finally, we will beautify the chart style.
Select the chart, click "Change Type" - select "Bar Chart".
Select a button, right-click, and select "Hide All Field Buttons on Chart".
Adjust the size and layout of the chart, and now a moving pivot chart is ready.
￭If the data source changes, just click "Analyze" - "Refresh" to refresh the data.
