Returns the day of the week for a date. By default, its value is an integer between 1 (Sunday) and 7 (Saturday).

Syntax
WEEKDAY(serial_number,return_type)

Serial_number represents a sequential serial number representing the date of the day to be found.

Dates should be entered using the DATE function, or as the result of another formula or function.

For example, use DATE(2008,5,23) to enter May 23, 2008. Problems arise if the date is entered as text.

Return_type is a number that determines the return value type.

WPSTables store dates as serial numbers that can be used for calculations. By default, the serial number on December 31, 1899 is 1, and the serial number on January 1, 2008

The serial number is 39448 because it is 39448 days from December 31, 1899.
