In order to facilitate the management of employees, HR needs to establish a personnel database.
First of all, we need to know the meaning of each digit of the second-generation ID card number. The second-generation resident ID card number is 18 digits.
The first 6 digits of the ID number are the area code, and the 7th to 14th digits represent the year, month and day of birth.
The 15th to 16th digits represent the code of the local police station.
The 17th digit represents gender, with an odd number for men and an even number for women.
The 18th digit indicates that the check code is generally randomly generated by a computer to verify the correctness of the ID card.
■Enter in the public notice column: =IF(MOD(MID(B2,17,1),2)=0,"female","male")
"MID(B2,17,1)" means to extract 1 character starting from the 17th digit of the ID card.
"MOD(MID(B2,17,1),2)" means the remainder of the extracted characters divided by 2.
If the remainder is 0, it means that the 17th digit of the ID card is an even number. If the remainder is not 0, it means that the 17th digit of the ID card is an odd number.
After calculating the remainder, use the IF function to judge. If it is an even number, it is a female; if it is an odd number, it is a male.
In this way, the gender information of the ID card can be quickly extracted.
