HR needs to count employee contract expiration dates at work, so how to create an automatic reminder sheet for contract expiration?
■First you need to calculate the number of days until the contract expires.
Place the cursor at E2 and enter the formula =C2-TODAY().
The TODAY function is to return the current date in date format. C2-TODAY() means subtracting the current date from the expiration date to get the number of days.
Place the cursor in the lower right corner of E2 and form a cross-shaped drop-down to fill in the formula to calculate the difference in days in batches.
■Secondly, format the difference in days and mark it in red.
Select the data area E2:E8 of "Expiration Reminder", right-click to set cell format - Customize.
Enter [<=0]Expired;[Red][<=30]# days to expire; Not Expired; in Type.
This means that values greater than 30 are converted into the text "Not Expired", and values less than or equal to 30 are converted into the text "Expired in X Days" and marked in red.
■Finally, add an icon to the data area of "Expiration Reminder" to make the information clearer.
Select the data area E2:E8 of "Expiration Reminder" and click Start-Conditional Formatting-Icon Set-Other Rules.
In the icon style we can select the flag style and set the format of the icon.
For example, the green flag is set to expire in 30 days, the yellow flag is set to expire within 30 days, and the red flag is set to expire.
Click OK, and a contract expiration reminder form is completed.
