Estimates the standard deviation of the sample. Standard deviation reflects the dispersion from the mean (mean).
Syntax
STDEV(number1,number2,...)
Number1,number2,... are 1 to 30 parameters corresponding to the overall sample. You can also use a single instead of comma-separated parameters.
Array or reference to an array.
Description
• Function STDEV assumes that its arguments are samples from the population. If your data are representative of the entire sample population, you should use the function Stdeva to calculate the standard deviation.
• this The standard deviation is calculated using the "unbiased" or "n-1" method.
• Ignore logical values (TRUE or FALSE) and text. If logical values and text cannot be ignored, use the Stdeva worksheet function.
