Returns the average of selected database entries.

Syntax
DAVERAGE(database,field,criteria)
￭ Database A cell range that constitutes a list or database. A database is a list containing a set of related data, which contains behavioral records of related information.

Andthe columns containing the data are fields. The first row of the list contains the flags for each column.

￭ Field specifies the data column used by the function. The data columns in the list must have a flag entry in the first row.

Field can be text, that is, a flag with quotes on both endsitem, such as "age" or "yield";

Alternatively, Field can be a number that represents the position of a data column in the list: 1 for the first column, 2 for the second column, and so on.

￭ Criteria is a set of cell ranges containing given conditions. Any range can be specified for the criteria parameter, as long as it contains at least one column flag and
