The difficulty of graded reading materials gradually increases, and the reproduction rate is not high. As the level increases, the number of words and sentences will gradually increase, which may exceed the child's ability to accept. Most of the vocabulary in graded readings belongs to written language and cannot cover the most basic daily expressions in daily communication. This will also cause children to have difficulties in oral expression.
The purpose of writing graded books is to train children's spelling and reading skills, but the prerequisite is that they need to have a listening and speaking foundation. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are an inevitable process of learning any language. If you skip listening and speaking and learn reading and writing directly, you will inevitably end up speaking dumb English. Language learning must be started as early as possible, and listening and speaking must be done first before reading and writing.
