On the other hand, in China, the piracy problem brought about by the Internet and the lack of aesthetics once put font design companies in an embarrassing situation. Therefore, our designers urgently need to know more about fonts, and font companies also need better communication channels.
Under this background, in June 2016, the Ziyou team found eico, using eico's years of experience in mobile digital terminals, jointly created this font management software tailored for Chinese designers, and it will not stop For font management, it is also a bridge for designers to understand fonts.
Situational search method, direct to the target
Although there are many excellent font management software, most of them are more suitable for the use of Western languages, and cannot meet the needs of Chinese designers. Therefore, in the early stage of the project, in order to deeply understand the actual needs of target users, we conducted on-site interviews Several designers from different fields, including UI designers, graphic designers, artists and so on. Through interviews, we found that although they are both graphic designers, because of the different nature of the projects and work they are in contact with, everyone has different management habits, needs and pain points for fonts. Designers can directly use the style type (simple/elegant), use occasion (printing/ Screen), content (title/paragraph) to quickly search, and find the relevant fonts you need among thousands of fonts on the Ziyou platform.
Personalized font preview effect, what you see is what you get
Fonts are not automatically generated by the computer, but the crystallization of the thoughts of the font designer after a long period of polishing. Managing fonts is for faster and more convenient use. However, font files from various sources on the Internet are mixed, which not only poses system security risks, but also has problems such as random naming and incomplete font libraries, which adds many difficulties to font management.
