The civil servants who have joined the job are not clear about the typesetting specifications of official documents. The following is a standard format specification for Word official document typesetting, including font, font size and other requirements,

Source: National Standardization Management Committee (slightly abridged)

Guide

Many leaders have a habit:When they get an official document, they don't read the content first, but change the format first. Sometimes it is annoying to revise, and even return the official document to rewrite.

Many civil servants, especially new young people, don't take the official document format seriously. Many people don't even know the basic typesetting of Word, let alone the official document format. Many official documents are directly handed over to the leaders without even typesetting. Who knows that this is a very serious matter, especially the legal document format, the significance of its standardization is self-evident.

Take the documents of the procuratorate as an example, the brackets for the year in the text number are hexagonal signs "〔〕" instead of "【】" or "[ ]", while the courts use the common brackets "()". It should be common sense, and all civil servants should learn these norms, so as not to make jokes.

To improve the standardization and standardization of official documents of party and government agencies, on June 29, 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the National Standardization Management Committee issued the national standard "Format of Official Documents of Party and Government Organs" (GB/T 9704-2012).
