Siyuan Arial supports four different East Asian languages - Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and also provides a total of 65,535 glyphs in seven font weights to ensure visual aesthetic consistency. In addition, Source Serif also supports a large number of Western scripts, such as Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, etc., which are all evolved from Source Serif.

Everyone has their own writing style, so when designing fonts, we want to design a style that suits everyone. Make it convenient for yourself to use, but also convenient to share with others.
Ryoko Nishizuka is Adobe's lead type designer in Tokyo. She is responsible for the design of pictographs, kana and other Japanese glyphs in Siyuan Arial. During the development of Siyuan Blackbody, she was also responsible for the same work.
Frank Grießhammer

Frank Grie?hammer, also from Adobe's font team, designed the Latin, Greek and Cyrillic glyphs in Siyuan Song. These glyphs are also included in Adobe's Siyuan font family, the latest version of which was released in January this year. Since the design of Latin fonts must be able to support Siyuan Song, Frank discussed with Ryoko how to maintain consistency between Latin letters and Asian scripts at the beginning of the design.

Google integrated the Siyuan font family with their Noto San, Noto Serif and Roboto families, and used two different names, Noto Serif CKJ and Noto Sans CKJ, to refer to Siyuan Songti and Siyuan Heiti respectively in branding.
In addition, as a partner of Adobe, designers from Changzhou Huawen Text Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Huawen Space-Time Text Technology Co., Ltd. used their years of experience in Chinese character design to complete Chinese characters based on Ryoko's design principles ( Including simplified and traditional), to ensure that Chinese designers in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and around the world can select the correct characters in Siyuan Song, ensuring that Siyuan Song becomes a real CJK and even global font library.
