At first I had this idea, I wanted to design it word by word, but I gave up. It is estimated that half of the 19 years have passed since I finished the design with procrastination, so I thought of presenting it in the form of writing.
01 Are these words written with a brush
I really ask the opposite: what else? Although software can be used to achieve the effect of calligraphy, handwriting and words made by software are still very easy to distinguish. The first two in the picture below are ordinary gouache pens, which I use occasionally, and the remaining three are used all the time when I was in college, and they are still strong after using them. Generally choose Langhao or Jianhao for beginners.
Now that we are talking about tools, let me talk about paper. I recommend three kinds of paper: raw Xuan, raw edge paper, and A4 paper. According to the characteristics of each paper, it can have different effects.
02 Is calligraphy really difficult?
What I wrote is at best in the form of calligraphy, which is incomparable with the profound and profound traditional calligraphy, so I can only go to Show off some tricks. But is it difficult?
If you are writing for the first time, of course you will find it difficult; if you want to write interestingly, it must be even more difficult! Calligraphy is not as simple and reversible as adjusting the anchor point tone curve in our software. It has a strong randomness and is not easy to repeat. This is precisely the charm of calligraphy.
So if you ask me, is calligraphy really difficult? My answer is: I still find it difficult when I practiced calligraphy for the first time when I was a child, otherwise I would not be able to write these 20 groups of characters, and I used more than 100 sheets of paper.

In Zaku’s comments, many friends said that some characters were unknown. This was really beyond my expectation, because I didn’t I don't think so. Take a chestnut: It's like pretending to be a fool when you know someone, it's actually very difficult.
I knew this word in the process of writing, so no matter how I write it, I will feel that I know it, but I have to admit that some words are indeed deliberately exaggerated, just to look more special, Whether it is the structural space or some strokes, some changes will be made subjectively, which also leads to a reduction in recognition.
But I don't think this is a problem, because our starting point or requirements are different, it's okay to do it for fun. There is no right or wrong between realism and abstraction, they just have different preferences.

04 How to write calligraphy to look good
It's as difficult to answer as you ask the chef how to make delicious dishes, but I still want to talk about two points for you.
One is to focus on basic exercises. What you see is written very casually, but is it really as simple as it seems? Obviously not, although it is not traditional calligraphy, it is quite necessary to copy everyone's copybooks to lay a solid foundation; beginners recommend copying the four masters of regular script, Yan Zhenqing, Ouyang Xun, Liu Gongquan, and Zhao Mengfu.
Second, don't try to write the same words as others. Other people's creative calligraphy is very beautiful, but you may not be able to write the second one that is exactly the same. Finding the right one is more effective than learning the writing method and form of a certain stroke.
