2. Editing environment

② Slideshow pane: slideshow The pane is located on the left side of the working interface and is used to display the thumbnails of each slide in the current PPT. Click on a slide thumbnail and the slide will be displayed in the slide editing pane. You can hold down the left mouse button and drag the thumbnails of the slides to reorder the slides, and you can also perform operations such as adding, copying, or deleting slides.

③ Memo pane: In the memo pane Notes for the current slide can be typed in to remind the presenter of things that are easily forgotten. Remarks can be printed as a remark page, and if the PPT is saved as a web page, the remark will be displayed automatically.

④ Ribbon: Ribbon is located in the working interface Above, to help users quickly find the commands needed to complete a task. The Ribbon consists of multiple tabs, such as "File", "Home", "Insert", "Design", "Animation" and so on. To improve productivity, some tabs are only displayed when needed. Tabs are organized into groups, and within each group are command buttons.

⑤ Quick Access Toolbar: Quick Access Toolbar Located in the upper left corner of the work interface, it consists of the most commonly used command tool buttons, such as "Save", "Undo", "Redo", "Play", etc. as shown in Figure 6.1. 6.1.2 View of presentation

1. Normal view

Normal view is just created or opened a PPT file , and is the most commonly used view for composing and designing presentations.
Normal view consists of a slideshow pane on the left, a slide editing pane on the right, and a notes pane below. When the mouse pointer changes to "" at the border of the pane, hold down the left mouse button and drag to adjust the size of each pane.

2. Outline view

Outline view is to display slides in outline form Text, suitable for conceiving the framework of the entire presentation, grasping the general idea, arranging the presentation order of the slides, etc. In outline view, text can be edited in the outline, but various graphics and images cannot be displayed in this view.

3. Slideshow view

4. Remarks page view

5. Reading View

Click the "Reading View" button to enter reading view. In this view, slideshows can be viewed in full screen. Press the Esc key to exit the reading view and return to the normal view.

6.1.3 Basic operations of slideshow

The basic operations of slides include creating, selecting, copying, moving, deleting and hiding, as well as adjusting the order of slides.

1. Create a new slideshow

(1) Use the "start" of the ribbon Tab. Click【Start】→〖Slideshow〗→"New Slideshow" to create a blank presentation. At this time, the system automatically creates a new slide behind the current slide, and its thumbnail appears in the "Slide Show" pane.
(2) Use the mouse and shortcut keys. Right-click anywhere in the "Slideshow" pane, and select "New Slideshow" from the pop-up shortcut menu. Or use the shortcut key Ctrl+M, or press the Enter key to create a new slide.

2. Select slideshow

(1) Select a single slide. Click a slide thumbnail, and the selected slide will display a frame.
(2) Select multiple consecutive slides. While holding down the Shift key, click the first slide and the last slide to be selected respectively, and a frame will be displayed for the selected slides.
(3) Select multiple discontinuous slides. While holding down the Ctrl key, click the slides you want to select in turn. If you need to cancel a selected slide, click Cancel again.
(4) Select all slides. Select any slide, and then use the shortcut key Ctrl+A to select all slides.

3. Copy slideshow

(1) Copy the slideshow via "clipboard" piece. Select the slide to be copied, click [Start]→〖Clipboard〗→"Copy" button, or use the shortcut key Ctrl+C. Then select a slide, click the "Paste" button, or use the shortcut key Ctrl+V to copy a new slide under the selected slide.
(2) Duplicate adjacent slides. Select the slide to be copied, right-click on its thumbnail, and select the "Duplicate Slide" option from the pop-up shortcut menu. At this point, an identical slide will be copied below the selected slide. PowerPoint can copy the entire slide and the content on it, or multiple slides selected at the same time.

4. Move the slideshow

5. Delete slideshow

First, select the thumbnail of the slideshow to be deleted, and press the Delete key on the keyboard; or right-click the slideshow to be deleted, and select the "Delete Slideshow" option in the pop-up shortcut menu. You can also select multiple slides to achieve unified deletion.

6. Hide the slideshow

The hidden slide will not plays, but the slideshow is not deleted. A "\" mark appears on the number of the hidden slide in the slide view.
Select the slide thumbnail to be hidden, then right-click, and select the "Hide Slide" option in the pop-up shortcut menu. To unhide, just select the corresponding slide and perform the above operation again.

6.1.4 Saving and sending presentations

1. Save the presentation

Click【File】→〖Save〗option , or use the shortcut key Ctrl+S. You can press the F12 key to quickly open the "Save As" dialog box. When saving for the first time, the Save As dialog opens. Click "Browse" to select the path, file name and save type of the PPT, and then click the "Save" button.

2. Send presentation
