IT House News on March 30, Microsoft has provided an important new feature for users of its web version of PowerPoint. Starting today, all users of PowerPoint for the web can upload and save local videos to PowerPoint presentations.
Microsoft noted in a blog post that while users can already add videos to PowerPoint from online sources such as YouTube and Vimeo, this new feature will allow users who make their own videos to upload local videos from their computers to PowerPoint files on the web.
Using this new feature is very easy, here are the steps:
Open a new or existing PowerPoint file for the web
Click on the Insert menu
Then click on the video option
Then click on the video option on your device
You can select videos stored on your local computer that you want to add to your PowerPoint file
Finally, click the Open button to place the video in the slideshow
After placing a video in a PowerPoint slide, users can move or resize the video to their liking, and even apply shape effects.
IT Home noticed that although this new feature supports multiple video formats (.mov, .wmv, .avi, .m4v, .mkv, .asf, .ts, etc.), but Microsoft recommends PowerPoint for the web users upload videos in .mp4 format for the best quality, and this feature has a video size limit of 256 MB.
