He sorted out and formulated the standard Xiaozhuan in Qin Dynasty, which can be said to be the crystallization of writing after the unification of Qin. Most of the engraved stones written by Li Si have been destroyed, and only two original stones survive. According to legend, the inscriptions on gold and stone in the Qin Dynasty were all written by Li Si. The gold engravings have rights, quantities, and edicts, and the stone inscriptions include Yishan, Taishan, Langyatai, Zhifu, Jieshi, and Kuaiji. Therefore, the most famous calligraphy of the Qin Dynasty is the engraved stone characters written in Qin Xiaozhuan script.
To a certain extent, modern Chinese characters evolved from Xiaozhuan. Although Xiaozhuan has a history of nearly 2,200 years, it still appears in many occasions today, especially in art design, calligraphy and painting.
