Installed fonts mysteriously disappeared? 5 cold knowledge hidden in the PPT, I dug it out for you

deep. Today I will share with you some cold knowledge hidden in PPT to help you use this software better. 1. The problem of missing fonts: Sometimes you open a PPT file, but find that all the fonts in it have become the default fonts, and the original spe

As a creator of PPT tutorial content, readers often ask me various PPT questions.

Sometimes, you can't blame you for not knowing enough about software, but that these knowledge points are hidden too deep!

In this article today, I will share with you popular science, 5 cold skills of PPT operation.

Let's talk about one by one, let's talk about the first one first!

01

The font is installed but not found

I obviously installed the font, reopened the PPT, and even restarted the computer,But I couldn’t find this font in the font list of the PPT. Believe this problem, you must have encountered it.

For example, I installed two weights of the Roboto font in my computer: Regular and Bold.

Word weight refers to the stroke thickness of the font.

The font folder in the computer is displayed normally:

In the two softwares of Ps and AI, you can also find the two weights of this font:

But only one is shown in the PPT:

This should be regarded as a bug of PPT, how to solve it?

The method is very simple. We can directly enter the name of the font + weight suffix in the font selection column of the PPT.

For example, if I want to use the bold font of Roboto, I need to enter Roboto Bold in the font bar.

Here, It is strongly recommended that you set the theme font before making PPT:

It is convenient for us to quickly find English fonts during the production process:

02

Type of end of line

Seeing such an open wireframe, many readers know that it is composed of several line segments:

But when I used lines to piece together, I found that there would be gaps in the connection between lines:

This is due to the end type of the line, the default isflat:

Change line end type to "square" ,The gap will be filled:

03

Automatic application of gradient effects

If you make PowerPoints a lot, you should notice this. After adjusting a gradient, we select other graphics, click on the gradient fill, and the previously adjusted gradient color will be automatically applied.

I have to say, this technique is very easy to use, It is better than the format brush in setting element gradients!

For example, if we have set the gradient color of the first icon, you need to click 4 times with the format brush, to synchronize the gradient color to other icons:< /span>

Using this method, just select the remaining icons and click on the gradient fill:

Is it fast?

04

Quickly create split text with gradient

Recently, when I was browsing some design works, I found that many designers would use the effect of text segmentation in the title.

For example, the following:

Seeing this effect, I believe you must have thought of Boolean operations.

Boolean operation is indeed possible, but it has certain limitations. For example, after the text is cut, it cannot be edited.

Also, after the stroked text is cut off, the line will be completely closed:

Is there any way to ensure the segmentation effect and retain the editability of the text?

Of course, Here are the steps to operate.

First setSet the text without filling, the outline is a gradient line, the angle is 90°, and only two white gradient apertures are reserved:

Adjust right gradient aperture opacity 100%:

Next, set the positions of the left and right gradient apertures to coincide, for example, the positions are both 40%:

Finally, combine the split text with the title text:

You can get a decent cover page:

05

Adjust font tilt angle

Many times, in order to express a sense of movement, we will slant the text on the page:

However, the default font slant angle in PPT is too large, and the slant angle cannot be adjusted.

Usually my approach is to use AI to tilt the font to a suitable angle first:

Import to PPT again:

It is a little cumbersome to operate in this way, and the text imported into PPT cannot be edited.

In fact, PPT also has the function of adjusting the tilt angle of the font, which fully meets the tilt requirements of the title text.

Next, let’s talk about the specific operation steps:

We first select the font we want to italicize, and then click Shape Format > Text Effects > Convert. Next, select "Bend""square".

At this point, the text deforms to fill the entire text box.

Reduce the height of the text appropriately, and drag the yellow handle at the bottom of the text box to the left to adjust the inclination angle of the text.

Be careful not to tilt too much.

Compared with the default tilt effect of PPT:

Isn't it much better?

Okay, the above are the 5 cool PPT skills that I want to share with you today. The operation is not difficult, you can also try it yourself. If there is anything you don’t understand, you can also leave a message at the bottom of the article!
