SEAMANClient: ASAKURANAOMIAWARDSize: 59.4*84.1cmCONCEPT There is a group of people who dedicate half of their lives and time to the sea. The people who seek the sea still stand firm in the face of the wind and waves, heavy rain, loneliness and fear of the sea. The sea also gives the most intimate gift to the brave-catch. What they are facing is a moody and fickle ocean, but those who seek the sea enjoy it despite the wind and rain. Taiwan is an island country surrounded by seas, with hidden reefs from time to time. Contrary to the heavy rain, it also has pleasant sunshine and abundant fisheries. The sea of good and evil and the traces of time tell about this group of people who are closely related to the sea. The poster is about sailors. They are the ones who spend their lives with the ocean. Every day they face storms, heavy rain, loneliness and fear as the ocean brings them bountiful fisheries. They faced a changeable and dangerous sea, but they still found the balance with it best way. The poster uses the word "haijia", which refers to a man who marries the ocean and treats it like a wife. A copy is from the work "Footprints and Shipprints" by Taiwanese poet Liao Hung-chi. The man said men had to go beyond the tasks given to them by the ocean, not wait for the ocean to get their approval before doing it. I experimented with a variety of different materials before I started working on the poster. Marbled paper is an interesting visual. It combines two materials: oil and water. These two components fit very well with my theme of talking about the oil spill, and it was clear that the effect was not only to generate ideas but to focus on the problem. Here I've tried some types with a marbling effect. I really like the patterns that water naturally creates. Ocean oil pollution makes the ocean huge Ecological damage, thin layer of oil can spread very quickly and kill millions of marine life (the worst victims are seabirds and turtles). We need to end this and pay more attention to our only and last asset - the ocean. The poster presents patterns made of floating pigments (oily pigments) in an attempt to symbolize the oil stains on the water. The pigments faithfully reflect the texture of water and oil What disappears is the accusation and struggle of the living beings against the environmental damage, the words are gradually swallowed by the oil, and the family and the environment also disappear.
