Along the way, I made certain surveys on natural and cultural landscapes such as greening and buildings, obtained certain materials, and also drew some thoughts and conclusions of my own.

2. Internship content and analysis
1. About a controversial road
Walking into the east gate of Peking University, you can see a wide and straight road. Internship report "Internship Report on Human and Environment". As one of the few wide and straight roads in Peking University, it is a road with much controversy. The neat and well-maintained lawn along the road proclaims a modern and international new Peking University. Around this road, there are relatively modern buildings of Peking University - Science Building No. 1, Building No. 2, Shaw First Floor, Shaw Second Floor, Shaw Garden, Science Teaching Building and so on. And at the end of this road are antique-style buildings full of traditional charm. Many people think that the width and straightness of the road are not in harmony with the antique roofs of the surrounding buildings. In addition to the neat artificial lawn, the two sides of the road are neatly planted almost excessively small trees, and at the end of the road are tall and shady trees that have grown for many years, and the feeling of incongruity is even stronger. This probably involves the so-called "visual adaptation". In many cases, we seldom consider the specific environment, but simply apply a variety of seemingly good and advanced models, while ignoring the special requirements of the specific environment for man-made facilities such as buildings.
Perhaps this is also an issue in planning. Just like the combination of new-style buildings and old-style buildings that can be seen everywhere on the campus of Peking University, it may not be a perfect choice.
2. The paradise on campus - Yannan Garden
Yannan Garden is one of the smaller gardens in Yanyuan of Peking University. There are only a dozen exquisite and elegant two-story buildings and small courtyards in the garden. This is a residential area for Peking University professors. People often say, "Not all the famous professors of Peking University live in Yannan Garden, but all the famous professors live in Yannan Garden". In the 1950s alone, Ma Yinchu, Tang Yongtong, Zhou Peiyuan, Feng Youlan, Zhu Guangqian, Chen Daisun, Hou Renzhi, Lin Geng lived in Yannan Garden, and later moved in Wang Li, Wei Jiangong and others. Ms. Bing Xin also lived here when she taught Yenching University. This is enough to reflect its profound connotation and cultural accumulation. The independent residential model in Yannan Garden is the ideal environment for the academic research of old professors. As an old professor pointed out in an interview, although slightly
It is old, and I would not think of changing the old-fashioned layout of the house. One reason is that although many books have been donated to the library, the collection of books at home also makes it inconvenient to decorate. But a more critical point - the layout of the old house is an environment that can make people feel at ease to study and study. Years of accumulation have made this small garden full of the smell of books... Then, besides the smell of books, what does it mean to the people who have lived here for a long time? The interviewees during the internship are mainly 60 Elderly people over the age of 10 have lived here for more than 35 years. They generally believe that Yannan Garden has a good living environment. First of all, it is located on a platform, which is higher than the surrounding area, which is a good geographical environment.
The various plants in between provide a harmonious ecological environment for the garden. As a distinctive residential garden, Yannan Garden attracts visitors from all over the world. Teachers and students from the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University once sketched here to study its architectural features. However, Yannan Garden also has its shortcomings. The interviewees generally pointed out the following points: First, the tourists who came to visit broke the original tranquility and cleanliness, and the passing cars raised dust and made noise, which brought great damage to the environment in the park. The second is the problem of public toilets. The land occupied by public toilets was the playground for children in the past, and due to neglect of management, the construction of public toilets not only eliminated children's play, but also caused a great impact on the environment. In fact, in Yannan Garden, each independent residence has its own sanitary facilities, and the establishment of public toilets is only to provide convenience for small businesses and hawkers outside the garden. As one of the few outdoor public toilets on the campus of Peking University, its establishment is naturally reasonable. However, it is located in Yannan Garden, which is rich in cultural heritage and profound connotation, and is located in Yannan Garden, where old professors study and study. Not very reasonable. The third is the contradiction between office and residence. As an interviewee pointed out, some residences in Yannan Garden have been assigned to certain administrative agencies by the school, and the work of the administrative agencies has further broken the tranquility of the garden, which cannot but arouse deep thought. The charm of Yannan Garden represents part of the charm of Peking University, which is the demeanor of academic research and a pleasant temperament. Its integrity is an inalienable part of Peking University. Perhaps, its tranquility should not be broken and peeped...
