CAD can use two font files: One is a CAD-specific shx font,One is a common ttf font for the operating system. The shx files of CAD are divided into three types: One is a small file used to display single-byte symbols such as numbers and English Font, One is a large font file used to display Chinese characters, Japanese, Korean and other double-byte characters, The other is specially saved Symbol shape file for some graphic symbols of special graphics such as line type.
When you open the picture, the text will be displayed as? Number. To solve this problem, the best way is to ask the other party to send you the font file, and then search for fonts with the same name from the Internet (the content of the fonts with the same name may not be exactly the same). If you can't find it, you have to figure it out yourself.
There are several ways to do this:
1. When opening the file, select an appropriate font file for replacement according to the prompts. At this time, you must reasonably judge what type of font the missing text is, so as to select an appropriate font for replacement. There are usually only a few types of small fonts, especially in China, there are relatively few special small fonts, so the missing files are usually large font files and symbol shape files. You can first replace the large font files with hztxt.shx or hzfs.txt, etc. This kind of font, this kind of font is usually available to everyone, of course, it seems that it is not included in CAD. If a shape file is not a correct shape file no matter which font file you choose to replace, please pay attention to whether the name is: aaa.shx, gdt.shx, ltypeshp.shx, this type of file is a symbol shape and cannot be easily replaced , this type of file usually has no effect on the text, and only makes some line types with symbols appear as ordinary dashed lines.
2. If you often have similar drawings that need to be opened but no fonts can be found, you can set up a font mapping file, so that certain fonts will be automatically mapped to the fonts on your machine when the drawing is opened. The mapping file of CAD is *.fmp, and the mapping file of AutoCAD is called acad.fmp. This file is a plain text file, which can be opened and edited with Notepad. You can encounter one kind of addition, for example, you can map all Chinese characters to hztxt.shx, as shown in the following table:

If there is still a question mark, choose the one with the question mark Text, look at the text style used by the text in the property box (CTRL+1), and then enter ST to open the "Text Style" dialog box (Format > Text Style) and adjust it to other fonts. If there is no requirement for the text, Chinese It is not necessary to use the large font of SHX, but to replace it with the fonts of the operating system such as Arial and Hei Ti.
