DCOUNTA(database,field,criteria)
￭Database A range of cells that makes up a list or database. A database is a list containing a set of related data, which contains behavioral records of related information.
The columns containing the data are fields. The first row of the list contains the flags for each column.
￭Field specifies the data column used by the function. The data columns in the list must have a flag entry in the first row.
Field can be text, that is, a flag item with quotes on both ends, such as "age" or "yield";
Alternatively, Field can be a number that represents the position of a data column in the list: 1 for the first column, 2 for the second column, and so on.
￭Criteria is a set of cell ranges containing given conditions.
You can specify any range for the criteria parameter, as long as it contains at least one column label and a cell below the column label for setting the criteria.
