The estimated standard deviation of a sample based on selected database entries that meet the specified criteria.
Syntax
DSTDEVP(database,field,criteria)
Database A range of cells that make up a list or database.
A database is a list containing a set of related data, a behavioral record containing related information, and the columns containing the data are fields.
The first row of the list contains the flag items for each column.
Field specifies the data column used by the function. The data columns in the list must have a flag entry in the first row.
Field can be text, that is, a flag item with quotes on both ends, such as "age" or "yield";
Alternatively, Field can be a number that represents the position of a data column in the list: 1 for the first column, 2 for the second column, and so on.
Criteria is a set of cell ranges that contain given conditions.
You can specify any range for the criteria parameter, as long as it contains at least one column marker and a cell below the column marker for setting the criteria.
