Extracts a single record from the database that meets the specified criteria.

Syntax
DGET(database,field,criteria)
￭Database A range of cells that constitutes a list or database. A database is a list containing a set of related data, which contains behavioral records of related information.

The columns containing the data are fields. The first row of the list contains the flags for each column.
￭Field specifies the data column used by the function . The data columns in the list must have a flag entry in the first row.

Field can be text, that is, with quotes on both endsFlag items, such as "tree age" or "yield";

Alternatively, Field can be a number that represents the position of a data column in the list: 1 for the first column, 2 for the second column, and so on.

￭Criteria is a set of cell ranges containing given conditions. Any range can be specified for the criteria parameter, as long as it contains at least one column flag and column

Description

￭If there is no record that meets the condition, the function DGET will return the error value #VALUE!.

￭If more than one record satisfies the condition, the function DGET will return the error value #NUM!.
