Mas Pla de Calabuig is located in the Empordà estate in the center of Catalonia, surrounded by lush cypress trees and olive groves And lavender gardens, the natural scenery surrounded by mountains and rivers perfectly blends with the medieval ruins, so it is called "Tuscany of Catalonia". It contains three independent residential buildings and a studio, allowing family members to maintain their own independent living while having the possibility of more interaction with their families.

Based on the owner’s lifestyle and aesthetic preferences, the interiors and thatched roofs of Mas Pla de Calabuig are full of natural atmosphere. The century-old door and Moroccan decorative elements add a bit of retro style to the rustic design, while the customized modern furniture relies on natural materials to harmoniously integrate into the space, balancing the aesthetic elements of different eras.

Empordà

Several other buildings located within the Empordà estate vary in style but share a unified facade and similar The use of color makes it visually consistent and coordinated. Two of the residences use earth-toned stucco surfaces similar to those of Mas Pla de Calabuig to set the tone of the space, while mid-century furniture from Germany, France, and Italy have historical expressions and complement the Mediterranean-style gardens.

In 2017, a media person who loves yoga bought this French farm built in 1739 and commissioned Carme Pardo transformed it into a personalized retreat resort that can accommodate about 10 travelers at the same time, hoping to regain the connection between people and nature, and people and history.

Due to the topography of the Almières complex, the extraordinary natural landscape of the Tarn Gorge was a central element in the spatial considerations. In order to restore the natural living atmosphere, Carme Pardo restored the cave-like internal structure and added terraces on both sides of the volume that communicate with the outside, so that the site originally used for storage and breeding can adapt to the needs of contemporary life. At the same time, the interaction of natural materials and sunlight depicts a delicate spatial texture, enriching the sensory experience of the residents.
