Returns the correlation coefficient between the cell ranges array1 and array2. Use the correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between two attributes.
For example, you can detect the relationship between the average temperature and air conditioning usage in a location.
Syntax
CORREL(array1,array2)
Array1 The first group of numerical cell ranges.
Array2 The second set of numerical cell ranges.
Description
￭If the number of data points in array1 and array2 is different, CORREL returns the error value #N/A.
￭If array1 or array2 is empty, or the s (standard deviation) of its values is equal to zero, CORREL returns the error value #DIV/0!.
￭If the array or reference parameter contains text, logical values, and blank cells, these values will be ignored; however, cells containing zero values will be counted.
