1. Question: Hello,Xiqi; Say hello to everyone and introduce yourself.

Answer: Hi, everyone, I am Xiqi, I am 18 years old (every year is 18 anyway), a female designer.

2. Question: What kind of experience is it like to participate in Font Help for so long?

Answer: In the second half of 2019, I signed up for Bingge's font course, and at the end of the year, I joined the font to help check in every day. After joining the font gang, I suddenly found that my daily time has become longer, and the previous procrastination has also improved significantly... The font gang has also become a must-see official account every day. There are too many font gangsters, and you can see all kinds of tricks and tricks from the gangsters every day. The longer I joined the font gang, the more I admired Brother Bing, leading the font gang for such a long time...more than 1,500 appointments on time at 10 o'clock in the evening required strong self-discipline! There are tens of thousands of reasons not to persist, but only one reason to persist, so if you have a goal, just implement it and stick to it!

3. Q: Can you talk about your work with everyone?

Answer: I work in an advertising planning company and have been engaged in graphic design for many years, based in Shanghai. The daily task is to find ways to make Party A’s father feel comfortable... um... Overtime is also common... I have experienced the days of working overtime until 10 o’clock every day for 2 consecutive months; I have also seen Shanghai at 4 o’clock in the morning ;Projects that are won after one draft, and projects that have no end after dozens of drafts...the ups and downs of the work are all there! Haha, I hope you won’t be scared by what I said, look, I’m still in the graphic design industry, and I still have a lot of hair left...

4. Q: What kind of existence is font design to you? hobby? Or is it a professional skill that must be mastered?

Answer: Font design is a skill that must be mastered for my work! In graphic design, font design is essential and an integral part of the screen. In normal work, when customers require screen fonts to have a sense of design, and the funds for purchasing fonts are limited, making fonts by yourself is the only choice! Now I make my own fonts according to the feeling of the screen, and the draft rate is significantly improved a lot!

5. It can be seen that there are more hand-painted styles in your works, can you share some practice methods of hand-painted fonts with you?

Answer: I usually go to various design websites to collect good-looking fonts, especially hand-painted fonts (just a personal hobby), and save them as my inspiration database at any time. It is recommended to read more, think more and practice more. When you see a good form and font you like, you can also define a set of words for practice (apply what you have learned, and turn it into your own thing). Hand-painted fonts are relatively free, with various styles and ever-changing changes. I usually read them more and store them in my mind to form memories and become a feeling, which can be better displayed when I write.

6. Question: How do you arrange the time for writing?

Answer: There is no fixed time. Generally, I do more in the evening after work, and I also do it in my spare time at work.

7. Q: Do you have any small goals to achieve in the new year?

Answer: This year's small goal, I hope to practice handwriting better, and there are more and more small flames of cool.

8. Question: Tell me about your feelings about participating in the daily check-in training of the Baizituan. Are you tired? cool?

Answer: To join the Baizituan, you must check in 25 times a month, otherwise you will be kicked out of the group! At that time, I was hesitant. Because my self-control is relatively poor, I have also participated in other check-ins, but I have not persisted for a month, so I joined with the attitude of giving it a try! Checking in in the first month should be the most tiring, but now it has gradually become a habit, give yourself a thumbs up for your persistence! ha! Also, the little friends of Baizituan are loving and interesting, and they are reluctant to leave, so they continue to check in...

9. Q: Besides design, what hobbies do you have?

Answer: I like watching movies, taking pictures, writing, watching dramas, sleeping... Ha, now I practice handwriting more.

10. Question: As a girl, do you think there are any differences or advantages over boys when designing fonts? In addition, do you feel tired of designing?

Answer: In general, there should be no difference. Maybe girls will feel more emotional when designing fonts with emotional themes, because after all, girls have more delicate emotions. But in the real workplace, there is no distinction between men and women, and you can have any style you need.

As a designer or a female designer, do what you do and love what you do, it’s painful and happy!

11. Question: There are many beginners in the font gang, and their font works often fail the rankings. Let me say a few words of encouragement.

Answer: I often failed in the initial submissions. Of course, failure is a disappointment, and it is normal! But it doesn't matter, don't give up punching in and submitting because you failed the ranking. Look at the excellent fonts on the list, learn from each other, and you will always wait until the day of the list! Don't give up lightly, let persistence become a habit! work hard together!
