ASEI ARCHITECTS is a Tokyo-based firm headed by Mr. Asei Suzuki that provides planning, design and management of architecture and interiors located across the country. They deal with a variety of buildings, including residential buildings and cultural facilities, with the theme of "architecture that appeals to your emotions", allowing people to regain the hidden charm of the place or environment. tegusu is in charge of the company's VI and concept development.

Roost is a hair salon in Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama, located in a quiet residential area with a park full of nature, away from the city center and near Center Minami train station. At the request of a hair salon, we designed a logo, emblem, business card, stamp card and flyer for them.

Our perched logo features an Os resembling a bird's nest. The logo represents our hope that the salon will become a place where customers feel relaxed and at home, a place that customers want to return to, and a place that many in the area love.

By giving the birds in Os a storyline, we managed to amplify the meaning of the logo for a variety of uses. This particular version of the logo was created for use on the salon's concept board.

Shimada Co., Ltd. is an old company established in 1921, headquartered in Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City, selling furniture materials and interior decoration materials, as well as producing furniture. In response to the company's inquiries about CI updates when the office is relocated, tegusu established CI and guidelines for using it, and designed signatures and business cards.

First up is "Seal and Signature." Known as the "Kankou (Seal) Society," seals are traditionally used in Japan to denote authorization for business and public documents or bankbooks. Therefore, the seal can be said to be a symbol of "credibility" and "trust". This inspired us to design the inheritance of Shimada's nearly century-old history, and determined to use the seal as the theme to realize the three policies with a forward-looking attitude.

This is followed by "structural objects such as boxes or frames". tegusu chose frames and white boxes that fit the design because they are associated with the idea that decorative laminates and furniture materials provide "new value" and "colour" to a space or decor, and the theme suggests that the company "accelerated different The complete thing".

The symbols we created consisted of the above and a kanji combination of "Shimada" (岛田).
