Today I would like to share with you a sans-serif Chinese font, Alibaba Pratt, which contains 116,000 Chinese characters and 7,205 Latin letters, covering 173 languages, meeting the global business needs of Alibaba Group and its ecosystem. As the brand font of Alibaba, this font mainly shows the temperament of youth, modernity, passion, stability and sense of the future.
In order to reflect these temperaments, the font is narrowed in the font layout, making the font more slender.
Chinese fonts have a total of 5 weights.
The two weights of Bold and Heavy are mostly used in the title word environment.
Due to the small number of words in the title, the fonts of Bold and Heavy are deleted to better reflect the sense of block and simple design of the font.
Light, Regular and Medium are mainly used for long text layout, so the foot of the bottom structure is reserved. In order to better balance the focus of fonts, it also ensures the comfort and fluency of users when reading.
