Calculates the average (arithmetic mean) of the values in a parameter list.
Not only numbers, but also text and logical values such as TRUE and FALSE will be counted.
Syntax
AVERAGEA(value1,value2,...)
Value1, value2,... are 1 to 30 cells, cell ranges or values that need to be calculated.
Description
￭ Parameters must be values, names, arrays or quote.
￭Array or reference parameters containing text will be evaluated as 0 (zero). Empty text ("") is also evaluated as 0 (zero).
If you cannotinclude text values in the calculation of the average, use the AVERAGE function.
￭Arguments containing TRUE are evaluated as 1; arguments containing FALSE are evaluated as 0.
